The Old Measuring Cup

I'm Erin and welcome to The Old Measuring Cup! From a small age, I have always loved baking. I had the Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookie reciped memorized by the time I was 5 and I made it every summer when I came to visit my grandmother and every Christmas. The name, The Old Measuring Cup, actually came from the old vintage orange tubberware measuring cups my grandmother had, that I sometimes still use to this day! The Old Measuring Cup opened in 2023 after my family and I relocated to Elkton, MD from Virginia Beach, VA. I was a new Mom and a 911 Dispatcher of 4 years with a terrible schedule, that was not family friendly what so ever. So my family encouraged me to quit my job and open up a cottage bakery, fancy term for baking out of my home, and well here we are! Baking and cooking are my passion in every way shape and form. I get so much joy when I see people's face light up with delight when they try my creations and they keep coming back for more. I also love being able to stay home with my children and have them in the kitchen with me when I'm creating something new or just cooking dinner.
